I have spent more than twelve years building software, and since 2015 taking on clients of my own. Today I work for companies in Mexico, Switzerland and the United States. I have already delivered all of this and it is running, with people using it every day. And if what you need is not on the list, ask anyway: it usually fits.

Online systems and websites

From the website where customers find you to the whole system your team works in: everyone with their own login, online payments, reports on what is happening and a control panel where you run it all. It is exactly what I do today for a rental platform that operates daily.

Connecting the machines you already use

This is where almost everyone stops. I make your system talk to what you already have on site: receipt and label printers, barcode scanners, scales, sensors and devices that connect without cables. The point is that the information moves on its own, so nobody has to type it in by hand.

Programs for computers

For when opening it online is not enough: a program installed on your own computers that opens and saves files, controls the devices plugged into them and keeps working even on the day the internet goes down.

Keeping it up and protected

A good system is worth little if one day it stops responding. I make sure it stays available, that a copy of everything is saved automatically, that updates do not interrupt the work and that your customers’ information is protected.

Connections

I make your systems talk to each other

Almost no business starts from scratch: you already have a bank, someone processing your cards, a shipping provider, a system from your supplier. The hard part is rarely building something new — it is getting the new thing and what you already have to work together without anyone copying data by hand.

The most demanding one I have done

A direct connection to a bank, with nobody in between

I connected a system straight to BBVA, with no company in the middle doing the hard part. When money is what moves there is no margin for error: a charge cannot be duplicated or lost, everything is logged, and the books have to balance at the close of the day. That is where the rules I now apply to every connection came from.

It happens a lot: the system still runs, but whoever built it left years ago and now nobody wants to change it for fear of breaking it. So every improvement gets postponed. I worked with the tools of that era, so I can take it on: fix it, make it stable, or replace it bit by bit without stopping your operation for a single day.

Yo Rento

A platform for renting spaces for a few days or for several months, used by individual owners and by real-estate agencies alike. I lead everything technical and coordinate the team that keeps the website and the phone app running.

An internal system for a collections company: it organises the work of the agents who go out to deliver notices and lets the office follow them on a map while they do it. Those agents use a phone app I also built. It is entered in the official software registry.

UDG voting system

The system the Universidad de Guadalajara uses to run its internal elections. Before it went live, two independent firms reviewed it: one for security and one for load testing. It is entered in the official software registry.

No surprises, no fine print

You deal with me directly, not with a salesperson who hands you off to someone else later. You choose how to hire me, and from day one you know what you will get and what you will pay.

Ways to hire me

Project at a fixed price

We agree on what will be done and I give you a fixed price and date. If you want to add something halfway through, we price it separately: you will never get a bill you did not expect.

Best if you want to build something complete, start to finish

Package of hours

You buy a package of hours and use them when you need them, with a report of where each one went. Good for improving something you already have, bit by bit.

Best for improvements, fixes and one-off jobs

Advice

I look at what you already have, or at the quote another supplier sent you, and explain in plain words what I found, what I would fix first and why. I do not build anything: I help you decide.

From the first conversation to having it running

We talk

You tell me what you need to solve. If I am not the right person, I will say so in that same conversation.

I put it in writing

You get it in writing: what will be done, what it costs, how long it takes and what it does not include. No vague bits that get charged for later.

I build it and you watch it happen

We move in pieces you can open and try yourself. No disappearing for three months and coming back with a surprise.

I hand it over and stay with you

You get the program, the passwords and the instructions to run it, and I stay with you through the first days of real use.

Do you have time for my project?

I run technology for a company full time, so I take on few projects at once — precisely so I do not commit to dates I cannot meet later. Tell me about yours and I will be straight with you about whether I have the time, when I could start and, if I cannot, what you should do instead.

What people ask me before hiring me

If your question is not here, write to me and I will answer it with no strings attached.

Do you really have time if you already work full time?

Yes, but I take on few projects at once, and only ones I can keep up with without letting you down. Before I commit I tell you clearly when I can start and what date is realistic. I would rather lose a project than deliver it late.

I only have an idea and I do not know what I need. Is that enough?

It is. Plenty of projects start exactly like that. The first conversation is precisely about turning that idea into something concrete, with a date and a price. And if it turns out you do not need to have anything built, I will tell you that too.

Who owns the program once we finish?

You do, all of it. At the end I hand over everything: the program, the passwords and the instructions so anyone else could continue it without depending on me. I work so that you can leave whenever you want, not so that you cannot.

Do you provide invoices?

Yes, I issue proper invoices. That makes the cost deductible for your company and keeps the relationship formal from the first payment.

How does payment work?

On fixed-price projects, in parts: a deposit to start and the rest as I hand over things you can check. On packages of hours, paid up front. Never everything at the start, never everything at the end.

What happens after delivery? Do you keep maintaining it?

Yes. Once it is running you can stay with me on a package of hours for fixes and improvements, or take it to your own team with the handover instructions. Both are fine and I will not push you either way.

Will you sign an agreement not to share what I tell you?

Happily. I sign it before you tell me anything sensitive, and if you do not have one, I can send you a standard template so we do not lose time.

Do you work with clients in other countries?

Yes. I worked remotely for several years with companies in Switzerland and the United States, so working across time zones, sending progress without needing meetings and working in English are all normal for me.
